Founded by Tweela. Tweela Banking is the most powerful of all the global financial institutions throughout the world. Technically based in [Cordann](https://birdsonguniverse.com/books/political-landscape-nations/page/cordann), it has transcended the borders of its home nation, and is involved in both foreign and domestic political affairs. Originally started in the early 5th century as a local credit union, it has become a publicly-owned corporation.

# Luminous

A subsidiary (spin-off project) of [Ultraviolet Industries, Inc](https://birdsonguniverse.com/books/extranational-political-entities/page/ultraviolet-industries-inc). It is headed by Ashvik.   
  
Originally, she hoped to name it "Lumen" as a reference to light, but gave this up as it had already been copyright-claimed and the owner wouldn't budge. Then she went for "Luminos", but nobody pronounced it the way she hoped (they kept pronouncing it as Loo-MEE-nose). Luminous was her third choice, which she stuck with.
